What are Leaving Cert Maths grinds?
Leaving Cert Maths grinds are extra lessons that help students improve their understanding of the course, build confidence in tricky topics, and get better prepared for exams. They’re ideal for students who are finding the content difficult or who want more structure in their revision.
Are these Maths grinds suitable for 5th and 6th year students?
Yes. Whether you’re starting out in 5th year or deep into your 6th year revision, these grinds are tailored to support you. Each lesson includes worked examples, past paper questions, and tips to help you maximise marks. In the lessons on Mondays we will be learning content most usually covered in 5th year. In the lessons on Wednesdays we'll be learning content most usually covered in 6th year. Students have the flexibility to attend either or both lessons according to what they need from week to week.
Are the lessons delivered online?
Yes! All grinds take place online via Zoom, using interactive Pear Deck software. That means you can join from anywhere and get real-time feedback and support during each session.
Who teaches the grinds?
All grinds are taught by me, Anita — The Maths Exams Expert. I’m a qualified Maths teacher with 25 years of experience teaching Maths at the highest levels in Ireland and internationally. I’ve also worked as a state examiner, so I know exactly how to help students gain marks and avoid common mistakes.
How are these lessons different from other online grinds or school classes?
These are not lectures, webinars, or passive Zoom calls. My grinds are fully interactive, using Pear Deck software so I can see what every student is writing in real time. That means I can give instant, personalised feedback — just like in a small group classroom. Lessons are designed to be engaging and practical, not just watching someone else do the maths. With small class sizes, every student is supported, challenged, and involved from start to finish.
What happens if I miss a class?
If you can’t make a class, you can log into the members section of my website to access the lesson notes and the link to the lesson recording. You can also contact me directly with questions - I’m here to support you.
Do I need to be aiming for a H1 to benefit?
Not at all. These lessons are designed to support all Higher Level students, whether you’re aiming to pass with confidence or striving for top marks. Every lesson is focused on helping you move forward, whatever your starting point.
