Module 11: Differentiation – Leaving Cert Higher Level Maths Differentiation is one of the most important topics in the Leaving Cert Higher Level Maths course. It’s often introduced in 5th year, but its applications continue right through to the final exam, often showing up in multiple questions. In this module, we’ll cover: -Differentiation by rule -The product, quotient, and chain rules -Derivatives of trigonometric functions -Differentiation of exponential functions -Differentiating logarithmic functions We’ll take each topic step by step, focusing on understanding the rules, recognising when to use them, and applying them accurately in exam-style questions. In the live lessons, we’ll work through examples together and talk through the most common mistakes. This module builds the foundation for calculus and other key areas, so it's worth taking the time to get it right.
